When I blogged about Dinner one year ago, my post received quite mixed comments. Obviously some people are big fans of Dinner and the fact that the restaurant is always full just confirms it's incredible success. Sometimes you can't judge a restaurant having visited it just once, so i started doubting about my judgement. Maybe i was wrong? Maybe Dinner by Heston Blumenthal is indeed the best restaurant in the world like the famous food critic Giles Coren once said?

The food at The Ledbury was not only beautiful, but also delicious. Contemporary French,British products, 2 Michelin stars, 29/30 in Zagat, probably one of the most sought after reservations in London. I will definitely return!

Japanese tapas and sushi restaurant Dinings is a perfect example of when a student surpasses his master. Dining's chef used to work at Nobu, so you will find many Nobu inspired dishes, but there are plently of new creations such as various tapas or contemporary sushi.

Reservation at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal must be the hardest to get in London or maybe even Europe at the moment. When I called there i was told there were no availabilities until June. So i asked my hotel concierge to put me on their waiting list for the three days i was in London. The next day i got a table.
Dinner is located at the Mandarin Oriental hotel and i must say the restaurant's design is very successful. You can see all what is going on in the kitchen from the spacious, high ceiling dining room. The concept of the restaurant is also new and quite interesting. Dinner serves historic British cuisine. They even write the date and the cookbook from where the recipe has been taken.

Umu is the idea of a restaurant that i dreamt of ever since i had that very intriguing, but maybe too authentic for Westerners eyes and taste buds meal in Kikunoi in Kyoto ."Could anybody recreate the Kyoto style kaiseki meal but with a modern touch in Europe? ",I wondered.

Every person I spoke to in London praised Hunan, " a Chinese "gem" ", where there is no menus and you will "explode" of the amount of delicious food. And indeed, Hunan is " not your typical Chinese restaurant." You don't get any menu, and the waiter just asks how spicy you would like your food and what you don't eat. "It's like having your own personal chef - and the result is a unique meal you will treasure forever.",Hunan' s website says.

I was sceptical before my dinner in Amaya - almost surethat its just
another fashionable Indian calling itself modern(I've been to so many of them),but all what is modern is the
fancy interior and crazy martinis,or,worse,European cuisine mixed with Indian spices.
In fact,it was a little bit of all of the cases above, but I loved my Indian meal at Amaya more than any other Indian meal I've had recently.
