Delicious hot tomato soup

Tomato soup
Tomato soup

Who could have thought that a simple tomato soup from a hotel room service can be so inspiring? Moreover, it is not everybody’s favourite gazpacho, but HOT tomato soup. And to be honest, I’ve always looked quite sceptically at hot tomato soups as they often taste like ketchup. Don’t they?

But this soup from the room service in the hotel I am staying here, in Buenos Aires, has changed my opinion about hot tomato soups forever. The flavours are exploding. Whole tomatoes acidity and sweetness perfectly marries with excellent quality olive oil and basil leaves that are simply tossed over the soup. I have asked for the recipe of this delicatessen from the hotel’s kitchen-it is in Spanish, so if you speak Spanish, I highly recommend you to prepare it. Meanwhile, I will have to use a dictionary in order to understand what is written here, as my Spanish is quite limited 🙂
