My carefully curated lists are assembled to indicate what are, in my opinion, the best restaurants there today. French food is the envy of the world, with the subtle mixture of traditions and international flavours, young chefs’ creations and fresh ingredients, the French are more than entitled to their culinary pride. My restaurant recommendations in France cover it all, from the capital’s newest restaurants by talented young chefs from all over the world, to the country’s Riviera spots as well as the longstanding institutions.

Spain is home to some of the world’s best and most cutting-edge restaurants, it’s also a country with culinary tradition at heart. My assembled lists include specialities from the gastronomic city San Sebastian, traditional taverns and Michelin-starred spots from the country’s biggest cities, as well as quality Mediterranean holiday vibe places featuring the freshest of ingredients.

Italy is the go-to country for food lovers around the world. Arguably the number one country where most of the world’s favourite foods originated. While mostly my lists feature authentic Italian places run by family from one generation to the next, I also share some other spots worth visiting, from fine dining to cutting edge places from all over the country.

Luxeat readers know that Japan’s exquisite food is my first true love. The country’s diverse regional gastronomy reflects, not only the climate, nature, or terroir of that place, but also its history and social customs. My carefully curated lists contain Japan’s best places including cheap eats, modern Japanese cuisine and Michelin-starred stalwarts.

Wine is the indisputable match for any meal, well-matched it can drastically change food’s texture and flavour. Among the huge variety of wine options, my trusted sommelier friends have listed the most outstanding ones for you to try. And my very good friend Pablo Alomar Salvioni introduces and suggests some sakes which can (and do so very nicely) as a replacement to wine.
