Koi, New York- not worth a return

New York So so USA

Koi (40 W 40 str.) is another copycat of Nobu. I call it “copycat” as the only dish worth a try was the famous Matsuhisa’s “black cod”. Otherwise, the choice on the menu is very small and i didn’t see any original dishes.

Even if they try to create the Asian style ambience (which we all love:)), the extremely loud music doesn’t make the place Asian at all. I could say, the music and the crowd make the place more similar to “Hard Rock Cafe” than to Nobu.
