Magnolia Cupcakes

To be honest, I have always had “something personal” against cupcakes. For me, a cupcake is rather a boring dessert that is made of dry cake and “too sweet”, even vulgar frosting.

And, frankly, I have passed by the Magnolia bakery (401 Bleecker Street (cross street: 11th street)) dozens of times and found really strange that people were queuing outside…

Today I thought I should give a try to these famous and  “award-winning” cupcakes and actually they are not bad at all. The cake is moist and fluffy and even if the frosting is very sweet, it is quite light.
