We feasted like the Romans…

I don’t know how about you, but when I am Italy I don’t want to eat out in too gastronomic restaurants. For me, Italian cuisine is all about hearty, convivial food that I found in Matricianella, this simple and cosy restaurant in the heart of Rome. I did dine in Vivendo ( in St Regis Hotel) during the trip, which according to Zagat together with La Pergola is the best restaurant in Rome. But in Italy, there is nothing better than a nice sincere meal in a local trattoria…

“Risotto with radicchio”   I love when when the rice is sticky in risotto…
Green salad with pecorino cheese

Bucatini all'amatriciana
“Bucatini all’amatriciana” The bacon pieces were big and rustic.
Saltimbocca alla romana
