Asparagus theater

Elaborate show and luxurious presentation is often a huge part of 3 Michelin stars restaurant experience and the price you pay for it. I┬árecently read somewhere that people find expensive food better tasting. The simply poached asparagus with crushed egg condiment at Alain Ducasse Monaco was without doubt an excellent asparagus dish, but I am still not sure if it really tasted like 86 euros…

    Hi Aiste,

    We were in Alain Ducasse at the same time, although I think our lunch was probably significantly less expensive as we passed on the asparagus and went for the set lunch. You can read about our meal here if you would like to: http://restaurantsandrants.wordpress.com/2014/05/04/le-louis-xv/
