Maroccan cusine in Paris

Le Timgad

Maroccan is one of those few non-French cuisines which have really fluorished in Paris and in France generally. No surprise why-  good couscous can be  a real joy…

Le Timgad   (21, Rue Brunel,75017) is one of the best Maroccan in Paris. Couscous and tagines are fine and the dramatic decor makes you feel like you are in a Moroccan palace. But if you search for something less mediatized and only known by the locals, I would go for Essaouira (135  Rue de Ranelagh, 75016). The interior is still beautiful, but more intimate and the food is as good as in Le Timgad (It is also much cheaper ).
