Le Cinq (Four Seasons George V)

Le Cinq

I have been hesitating quite a bit to what to write about the last night’s dinner in Le Cinq . The talent of  Phillipe Legendre, who obtained his three stars in a very short period of time, is undeniable, but on the other hand, there was nothing inspirational… From such a highly rated chef you would expect not only good food but also a culinary experience…

“Tarialini Pasta A La Fonduta with White Truffle from the Alba Region “or “Roast Farm Veal Sweetbread with Porcini Mushrooms from the Sologne Region” were more than excellent but “Roast Farm Bacon with Sarlat Style Vegetables and Black Truffle” was quite average.

What is important to mention also, is that the  Louis XVI style dining room, which was scarcely lit with small candles, was way too obscure to enjoy the beauty of the food.
